FanDuel Predicts explained: the FanDuel and CME Group prediction app (2026)
FanDuel Predicts lets you trade event contracts on markets, the economy and, in some states, sports, through a venture with CME Group. How it works, where it is available and how it compares with Kalshi.
In this article
FanDuel Predicts is the prediction market app from FanDuel, built with CME Group, the world's largest futures exchange operator. You trade event contracts, simple yes-or-no contracts on things like where the S&P 500 will close, the price of gold, an economic report or a game, and each contract pays out if you are right.
Availability and features as of October 2026. Check the app for the current list of states and markets.
FanDuel Predicts at a glance
| What it is | A prediction market app from FanDuel, part of Flutter Entertainment |
| Partner exchange | CME Group, which lists and clears the contracts |
| Launched | 22 December 2025, in five states |
| Where now | All 50 states for financial, economic and commodity contracts; sports in about 18 states |
| Regulator | CFTC |
| Minimum age | 18 in eligible states |
How FanDuel Predicts works
Each contract asks a question with two outcomes, and its price reflects the market's view of the chance. If a contract on "S&P 500 closes above X on Friday" costs 35¢ and you are right, it settles at $1. You can sell before settlement if the price moves your way.
CME Group's involvement is the distinctive part. CME has listed financial event contracts for years; FanDuel brings the app and its customers. The result looks like a sports app but runs on futures-exchange plumbing.
Where is FanDuel Predicts available?
FanDuel Predicts opened on 22 December 2025 in Alabama, Alaska, North Dakota, South Carolina and South Dakota. By February 2026 it was available nationwide for markets on finance, the economy and commodities, while sports contracts ran in about 18 states.
The sports rule mirrors DraftKings: FanDuel does not offer sports contracts where it runs a licensed sportsbook, and it has said it will stop sports contracts in any state that legalises online sports betting, moving those customers to its sportsbook instead.
