Kalshi Discord: the official community, and how to contact Kalshi support
Kalshi runs an official Discord with tens of thousands of members, but it is a community, not the support desk. What the Discord is for, how to reach Kalshi support (in-app chat and email), what to include, and the fake-support scams to avoid.
In this article
Kalshi has an official Discord server, and its help center recommends it for chatting about markets, suggesting new ones, asking questions and talking about the API with other traders and Kalshi team members. It is a community, not the support desk: for anything about your own account, money or identity checks, use Kalshi's in-app support chat.
What the Kalshi Discord is for
| Use the Discord for | Use support for |
|---|---|
| Market ideas and discussion | Deposits and withdrawals |
| Questions about how markets or rules work | Identity verification and account access |
| API and developer talk | A market that has not paid out |
| Announcements, including outages | Anything involving your personal details |
The server has tens of thousands of members, and Kalshi staff take part. You can also suggest markets through Kalshi's own ideas page in the help center.
To join, use the invite link from Kalshi's website or help center rather than one posted by a stranger, so you land in the real server.
How to contact Kalshi support
- In-app chat (fastest): while logged in, open the menu, then Get help → Chat with support. The same messenger is on the website.
- Email: if you cannot reach the chat, write to support@kalshi.com.
What to include, in a single message:
- a detailed description of the problem,
- a screenshot if you have one,
- your account email and full name.
Sending several emails about the same issue can slow things down, so put everything in one.
Before you contact support
- Can't trade on Thursday morning? Kalshi pauses trading every Thursday from 3:00 to 5:00 AM Eastern for maintenance (is Kalshi down?).
- Waiting for a payout? Markets settle after the official source confirms the result (how Kalshi payouts work).
- Withdrawal on hold? New deposits must clear first (withdrawals).
- Market missing? Some contracts are blocked in certain states (is Kalshi legal in your state?).
Fake support scams
Scammers impersonate Kalshi staff on Discord, X and Telegram. Real Kalshi staff will never:
- message you first offering help with your account,
- ask for your password or two-factor code,
- ask you to move money to "secure" it or to pay a fee to unlock a withdrawal.
If someone does, report them in the server and contact support through the app.
