Kalshi and Polymarket withdrawals: how long they take, fees and minimums (2026)
How to withdraw from Kalshi, Polymarket US and the global Polymarket site, how long each method takes, what it costs, and the usual reasons a withdrawal gets held up.

Withdrawing from a prediction market is usually quick, but the method you pick changes the timing a lot: from minutes for crypto, to a few hours for a debit card, to several business days for a bank transfer. Here is what to expect on Kalshi, Polymarket US and the global Polymarket site, and why a withdrawal sometimes takes longer than promised.
Typical figures as of October 2026, from the platforms' help pages and our own checks. Fees and limits change; the withdrawal screen in each app shows the current ones.
Kalshi withdrawals and deposits
| Method | Minimum deposit | Deposit fee | Withdrawal time | Withdrawal fee |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bank transfer (ACH) | $10 | Free | 1–3 business days | Free |
| Debit card | $10 | About 2% | Usually within hours | Small flat fee possible |
| Wire | $1,000 | Your bank's fees | Same or next business day | Flat fee |
| Crypto | Varies by coin | Network fee | Often within an hour | Network fee |
Kalshi pays out only to accounts in your own name, after identity verification. Winnings land in your Kalshi balance as soon as a market settles; from there you choose how to withdraw.
How to withdraw from Kalshi: open your account, choose Withdraw (or Transfer), pick a linked bank, card or crypto address, enter the amount and confirm. If the option you want is greyed out, the money you are trying to withdraw probably came from a deposit that has not fully cleared yet.
Polymarket US withdrawals
Polymarket US, the CFTC-regulated app for US users, works in dollars: no crypto wallet needed.
- Deposits: debit card (including Apple Pay), bank transfer (ACH) and wire.
- Withdrawals: back to your debit card, bank account or by wire. Withdrawals are free; card and ACH payouts can take up to 3–4 business days, and wires about one business day.
- Clearing: a bank deposit must fully clear before that money can be withdrawn, which can add a few days the first time.
Global Polymarket withdrawals (USDC)
On the global site your balance is held in pUSD, Polymarket's dollar token on the Polygon network, backed one-to-one by USDC (it replaced bridged USDC.e in April 2026). Withdrawing converts pUSD back into USDC and sends it to a crypto wallet or exchange:
- Open your portfolio and choose Withdraw.
- Paste a Polygon-compatible address (an exchange deposit address or your own wallet). Check that your destination accepts the USDC the screen names on Polygon; withdraw USDC rather than pUSD, which many exchanges do not accept.
- Enter the amount and confirm.
The transfer itself usually arrives within minutes, and network fees are a few cents. Very large withdrawals, above about $50,000, may need to be split, because the conversion from pUSD runs through a liquidity pool. Turning USDC into dollars in a bank account then depends on the exchange you send it to: selling is instant, a bank payout takes that exchange's usual time. Polymarket's global site is not available to US residents; see is Polymarket legal in the US.
Why a withdrawal gets held up
- The deposit has not cleared. Bank deposits can show in your balance before they are final. Platforms hold that amount until it is.
- Identity checks. First withdrawals, large amounts or changed details can trigger a review.
- Name mismatch. The bank account or card must be in the same name as your trading account.
- Weekends and holidays. Bank rails do not move money on non-business days.
- Wrong network. On global Polymarket, sending USDC to an address on another network can lose the funds. Double-check before confirming.
Payouts: when do winnings arrive?
On both platforms a winning contract pays $1 when the market settles, credited to your balance, usually within minutes to hours of the official result. You do not have to wait for settlement to cash out: you can sell your position at the current price any time the market is open. Do winnings count as income? Usually yes: see Kalshi taxes.
